Terms & Conditions

Currency: All prices on this site are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP). The same amount may also be quoted in Euros (EUR) and United States Dollars (USD). These price conversions are approx and are for guidance only.
Payment must be made in pounds sterling (credit cards sales will be charged in your local billing currency by your credit card provider).

VAT: Value Added Tax will be charged on all sales to residents of the EU making personal purchases. If a valid EU VAT Registration number is provided at the time of ordering, goods will be shipped to non-UK residents of the EU net of VAT. All purchases made by and shipped to customers outside of the EU will be net of VAT.

Payments: We accept payment by a variety of means: cheque, Switch, Solo, Visa, MasterCard, Euro card. If paying by cheque, please make cheques payable to Britwear Limited. If paying by credit or debit card please ensure we have the security code and if paying by switch please ensure we have the issue number. 

Duties & Local Taxes: Any duties and/or taxes levied at the point of entry into the destination country are the responsibility of the purchaser. A commercial invoice can be provided with all goods shipped outside of the EU on request.

Shipping/Carriage: The final price quoted on the payment details page shows the delivery charge to the stated destination. If for any reason this is miscalculated on your order we will notify you immediately. Domestic shipping will be by UK Royal Mail or UK Nightspeed. International shipping will be by International Royal Mail or ANC. Subject to availability mail order goods will be delivered within 28 days. Please contact us if you require special delivery services, prices for which will be quoted upon request.

Godfrey will happily supply samples, in any available colours, providing credit card details are supplied. Samples are sent out on a 30 day sale or return basis, so the credit card will be charged if we do not receive the samples back within 30 days.

Repairs: Godfrey guarantees all of our products for quality and workmanship. However if you need to return goods to us for repair, please return them with the postage paid. If Godfrey agrees with the claim and it is within the one month of purchasing, we will repair the goods free of charge. If a repair is required after one month of purchasing then there may be a nominal charge subject to the fault.

Proof of Posting: When returning goods, please obtain proof of posting or a shipping certificate from a courier. If for any reason returned goods are lost in shipping, we regret that they remain your responsibility.

Title to Goods: Usual payment terms required by Britwear Limited trading as Godfrey are that goods must be paid for prior to despatch. If, for any reason, goods are shipped prior to clearance of payments, title in the goods shipped belongs to Britwear Limited until we receive payment in full for the goods. However, we will not normally process payment for goods until they are available for despatch.
